چکیده
Abstract CVPD disease (Huanglongbing) is the most severe citrus caused by bacterium Cand. Liberibacter asiaticus . This pathogen lives in phloem tissue of plants and transmitted through vector Diaphorina citri grafting. The study aimed to know presence Orange cv Selayar nurseries mother tree gardens Islands Regency. PCR test was carried out research using Laboratory Agricultural Biotechnology, Hasanuddin University. DNA leaves extracted Genomic Kit method CLas amplified polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with primer pairs OI1-O12c. results showed that percentage orange cv. infected CVPD-like symptoms were 10-21 %. seedlings 2 0.27% 0.09%. have been confirmed a technique, which successful amplifying fragment CLa measuring 1160 bp, although not all suspected are positive.

16S/23S intergenic spacer regions from the rRNA operons of two strains of “Candidatus Liberobacter asiaticum” and one strain of “Candidatus Liberobacter africanum” were cloned and sequenced. The intergenic spacers of the two “Candidatus L. asiaticum” strains studied are identical and contain the genes for isoleucine tRNA (tRNA”‘) and alanine tRNA (tRNAMa) separated by 11 nucleotides. The interg...

Citrus greening or huanglongbing (HLB) is a devastating disease of citrus. HLB is associated with the phloem-limited fastidious prokaryotic alpha-proteobacterium 'Candidatus Liberibacter spp.' In this report, we used sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) leaf tissue infected with 'Ca. Liberibacter asiaticus' and compared this with healthy controls. Investigation of the host response was examined with ...

Citrus huanglongbing (HLB), or greening disease, is strongly associated with any of three nonculturable gram-negative bacteria belonging to 'Candidatus Liberibacter spp.' 'Ca. Liberibacter spp.' are transmitted by citrus psyllids to all commercial cultivars of citrus. The diseases can be lethal to citrus and have recently become widespread in both São Paulo, Brazil, and Florida, United States, ...

PREMISE OF THE STUDY The search for resistance/tolerance to the devastating citrus huanglongbing disease (syn. HLB or citrus greening) is generating an increasing number of new plants of diverse genetic makeup. As the increasing number of new plants require more space, resources, and time, the need for faster and more efficient HLB screening tests becomes crucial. METHODS AND RESULTS The leaf...
